Wordless Wednesday

on Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Hi Everyone! This is Nick's Mom. Nick gets very frustrated with the typing aspect of the blogging, so I am trying to figure out how he can put recorded messages on here. In the meantime, he wanted me to tell everyone thank you for visiting his blog. He really appreciates your comments. Jeremy, thank you for the Nikon/flikr link. I am trying to learn more about photography so I can help him take pictures, and your link was tremendously helpful.
For those who have asked, Nick uses a Nikon D50. Again, thank you all for your comments. Nick loves Wordless Wednesday. He makes me check his blog a 100 times and he reads the comments over and over and over and over...well, you get the picture ;)

Great shot, Nick! Gorgeous building... it makes me want to know what's behind its doors. Happy WW!

Very nice, and inviting.

I'm a Nikon user, too. Tell Nick it doesn't really matter what type of camera he uses. I can't sound like Mozart by buying the right piano.

I would suggest, since you seem to be asking for tips, that you not post his pictures as .gif files. This reduces their color depth severely and doesn't really give them a fair shake. The .jpg or .png formats are far superior for photographs. The .gif format is suited more for illustrations with definite borders between colors (i.e., simple comic strips)

Hi Nick!
Great shot.
There is a way to put audio on blogger. I never wanted to do that, so I never paid attention. But maybe late tonight I'll be able to figure it out.

I'm so impressed with his skills. Thank YOU, Mom, for encouraging him!

Agian Nick has used perspective to his advantage, good job. If you want Nick not to get frustrated with the typing end of the web you can invest in a product called Dragon Speak for about $100 US.

I am a hunt and peck typist and gues what I ended up doing all day... you got it, working at a computer, so I picked this speech recognition product up about two years ago and what a difference.

It does take time to train the program to recognize nicks voice, so a lot will depend on his reading skill, but he can learn to write by speach.

Still learn to type Nick, it is valuable in the business world, but I lost part of my finger when I was about 12 so it is harder for me and that is why I use speech recognition software.

Anyway I digress, I look forward to these pictures and hope you keep following your dreams with photography.

Great photo, Nick! I've got a pretty nice camera, but not a lot of skill.

Maybe you can teach me a thing or two? I'll be checking in weekly!

Tell Nick that he's a true artist. I'm going to link to this blog and check it every Wednesday.

Nick,

You have a wonderful eye! You are able to look at an object and see that it is something special for sharing with others, and that others will appreciate it.

You have a gift, Nick. Keep it up!

BFF,
Miss Trashahassee

Beautiful pictures, Nick! I went through your whole blog and looked at them all and I think you have an artist's eye. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Your photographs are very good. Interesting photograph. I like your macro work very much. I started photography in 1953 with a new Canon 35mm film camera. ALl of those photos are in a museum in Japan now. Here I am almost 73 years old and still taking pictures with Canon cameras. These new ones are digital like your Nikon is. I also had a Nikon back then.
