Wordless Wednesday

Sorry, we didn't have time for a video. We have a soccer match to go to :) Nick thanks you all for your comments. Mark, we have not yet used a light meter. We are going to try to use a light meter tomorrow evening, because Nick will be attempting to take a picture of the moon. There should be a harvest moon tomorrow night-if anyone is interested. Thank you all again. Your comments put a HUGE smile on his face!

Thank you for the head's up about the harvest moon... I'll be outside attempting to photograph it as well.

The carnation is beautiful as are the rest of the flowers! Is there any color that's happier than red, well except orange?

I can't wait to see your pictures of the moon! Happy WW!

I love close up shots! Keep it up, Nikon Nick and Happy WW.

The light meter I meant is built into the camera. For the moon, set the camera to about f/8 and 1/125 of a second. Experiment around those settings to find the best shot.

Also, please make sure you put the correct link to Nick's blog on Wordless Wednesday. It should NOT have a www anywhere in it. In fact, this week, your link took me to a Bible web site dedicated to being the largest such site on the web.

http://www.nikonnick.blogpsot.com/ is the address in question.

The proper one to use as a link is:
http://nikonnick.blogspot.com/

Mark,

I see what you mean, but if I type www.nikonnick.blogspot.com directly into my browser, it brings me here. The Wordless Wednesday site does not. The addition or deletion of the www should not take someone to a completely different site. Nevertheless, I will omit the www in the future.- Thanks for letting me know.

Sorry to Mark & Everyone Else~

I am blind. The issue was "blogpsot"-I typo'd. I'll cut and paste next week.

beautiful colors. Good luck with the moon shot. I find, with my point and shoot, that getting it before it's dark is the best I can do, but it's excellent. I see mountains and craters. Zoom all the way in. Use a tripod. the tripod is most important!!

Waste a lot of pictures and use the timer in the camera so you get no shake out of your lens. Mark has gave you a great starting spot but moon shots are all about experimenting and keeping the camera still. Love the color on the carnation Nick. Keep having fun with you camera and remember it isn't the equipment that makes the shat it is the person behind the camera that sees the picture!
